Elm Fungicide for use with non-disease resistant PROTECTING HEALTHY TREES ... PREVENTION As soon as leaves are developed to one-half their full size (which immediately precedes beetle emergence and feeding, the process through which the fungus of Dutch Elm Disease is spread) the fungicide is administered to the healthy tree by low pressure injection of a large volume of dilute solution of the chemical directly into the system of the tree at ground level. For details of treatment, see below. Remember, it is possible for a tree to be infected with DED for one or more seasons without showing visible symptoms. Therefore, when there is a high incidence of disease in the area, it is advisable to assume that any particular tree, having been exposed to the disease, may be infected even though it is not showing symptoms. Treat it accordingly with the dosage recommended on the label, allowing the tree to take up as many tanks of dilute solution as possible. If you have a tree showing symptoms of Dutch elm disease a therapeutic dose may be administered at the rate of 1 gal per 8 ft. circumference tree (1/2 for preventive.) Therapeutic treatment is 54% effective if trees are injected before 5% of the tree crown is flagging (yellow/brown foliage.) Deposit will be refunded upon return of equipment. You are responsible for return shipping charges. Rental injectors not returned within 30 days will be treated as sold and you will be billed for purchase of the equipment. All prices include shipping. Please call 1-800-367-3567 for pricing on injector parts and tees. EASY PAYMENT |
